Last Thursday the P7 and P6 class were set a challenge from colleagues from Farrans. By looking at the landscape presented made up of 9 tiles, pupils were tasked to lay a route for new water mains from the reservoir in the bottom left tile up to the new development in the top right. Each tile had implications that needed to be discussed to see what they thought the best route would be and who and what could be affected. Job roles from within the construction industry were discussed especially on overcoming the implications. The landscape included the following implications - river, farm, village, forest, mountains and an area of outstanding natural beauty. The children had a lot of fun.
